ECA Home Care

In response to government policy geared toward providing assistance to people to remain living in their own homes as long as possible, Echuca Community for the Aged has recently established ECA Home Care to deliver care and services to people in their own homes. 

In the short-term this service will target residents of our independent and assisted living units but may later be extended to the broader Echuca Moama community.

Services available under our home care package depends on the individual needs of residents. ECA Home Care works with individuals to understand their needs and identify goals to support them to live a more independent and active life.

Our Staff

ECA Home Care staff are experienced and qualified members of Echuca Community for the Aged.  All staff are thoroughly screened (including relevant qualifications, professional references and criminal record checks). When you choose ECA Home Care services, you are supporting our local economy.  Echuca Community for the Aged care services employs over 170 local people.  We also purchase local products and services to support Echuca Moama businesses where possible.

If you already receive a Home Care Package, you can now change your provider to ECA Home Care by simply giving us a call and talking to one of our friendly case managers.

Yes. We offer ‘pay as you go’ private fee for service Home Care Support to people living independently in our community.

This is the service for you if you need help in the home to remain living independently and:

  • do not wish to receive a Home Care Package
  • are waiting on the National Queue to receive a package
  • are not currently eligible for a package

If you find caring for yourself or jobs around the house are becoming difficult, this service is right for you. No ACAS or assessments required.

Brolga & Ibis Serviced Apartments

Our Brolga and Ibis serviced apartments are the perfect option for those seeking assisted living accommodation. Our friendly staff provide residents with all meals, weekly domestic assistance and fresh linen. 

These beautifully designed one bedroom apartments are set within the same tranquil environs as our Cunningham Downs independent living units.

Residents of these 27 apartments have the luxury of their own private courtyard, and all units are fitted with reverse cycle air conditioning, gas heating, quality drapes, blinds, refrigerator and microwave oven. A communal laundry is available for personal laundry and residents regularly congregate in the dining/lounge area to watch a movie or program on the big screen TV, or to enjoy a social drink before dinner.

Fees & Charges Brolga Apartments

Our residents also have access to a range of facilities and entertainment including an outdoor BBQ area, community centre, library, workshop/men’s shed, hairdressing and public transport (hourly bus).

Maintenance fees and rent cover such items as rates, building insurance, gardening, lawn mowing and internal and external maintenance of buildings, fixtures and fittings as well as all meals and cleaning and laundry services.

Our Home Care service is available to all residents of our Brolga & Ibis apartments which includes personal care, domestic assistance, social support/community access, assistance with shopping, transport to urgent medical appointments, laundry services, meals, assistance with medication, bed-time assistance and assistance in making referrals to other support services.
